My journey with clay started in 2003 and has slowly grown to a substantial part of my being. I primarily make functional pottery, both hand-built and thrown on the wheel. Both provide me with a sense of peace. Wheel throwing allows me to throw off all the day's stress and focus on centering myself and the clay. I use pattern rollers, created from designs and shapes in nature, iron work and buildings while using art deco and geometric influences to create my hand-built pots. Working with three different colors of stoneware helps provide variation to the finishes of my pieces.
